THE TIME IS NOW 6 P.M.

AND I CALL THE AUGUST 13TH, 2024 MEETING OF THE EANES ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO ORDER.

[2. ESTABLISH A QUORUM]

MADAM SECRETARY, DO WE HAVE A QUORUM? YES WE DO.

THANK YOU. WE WILL NOW MOVE TO MOVE INTO CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODES SECTIONS 551.071 AND

[3. CLOSED SESSION]

551.074. WE WILL RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION AT APPROXIMATELY 7 P.M.

THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING AND SEE YOU IN A BIT.

HOW DID IT GO? THE TIME IS NOW 7:06 AND WE WILL RECONVENE IN OPEN SESSION.

[4. RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION (Approximately 7:00 p.m.)]

I JUST WANT TO WELCOME OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE WATCHING AT HOME, EITHER LIVE OR ON REPLAY.

WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THE TIME YOU'RE TAKING TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR MEETING TONIGHT.

THE PURPOSE OF TONIGHT'S MEETING IS FOR THE BOARD TO DELIBERATE AND VOTE ON MATTERS LISTED ON THE AGENDA.

THE DISTRICT IS COMMITTED TO TREATING EVERYONE HERE WITH RESPECT AND WE EXPECT THE SAME IN RETURN.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM OUTBURSTS OR ANY OTHER DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR.

THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT LATER, BUT WE HAVE HAD NO ONE SIGN UP TO SPEAK TONIGHT SO WE WILL NOT HAVE OPEN FORUM AND WITH THAT, THANK YOU FOR JOINING US AND YOUR INTEREST IN OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR SCHOOLS.

WE WILL NOW MOVE FORWARD WITH OUR AGENDA WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT REPORT.

[5. SUPERINTENDENT REPORT]

DOCTOR ARNETT. ALL RIGHT.

THANK YOU, MR. SPRADLEY. WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL, EVERYONE.

THIS IS THE EVE OF THE FIRST DAY AND OUR SCHOOLS ARE VERY BUSY PREPARING FOR STUDENTS ARRIVAL TOMORROW.

IT'S BEEN GREAT TO SPEND TIME WITH OUR STAFF OVER THE LAST ROUGHLY TEN DAYS, I THINK, SINCE THEY'VE ALL BEGUN RETURNING.

I DID WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE CONVOCATION LAST FRIDAY.

THAT WAS ALWAYS A FUN MORNING, AND I APPRECIATED THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE ABLE TO BE THERE.

KIM, THANK YOU FOR SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF THE TRUSTEES AND GREETING OUR STAFF.

IT WAS A FUN MORNING.

I ALSO WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE CLAUDIA MCWHORTER AND HER TEAM FOR PRODUCING CONVOCATION.

SO MANY PIECES GO INTO MAKING THAT A SUCCESSFUL AND AN ENERGETIC MORNING, AND I THINK THIS WAS ONE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE COMMENTED WAS AMONG THE BEST PROGRAMS THAT THEY HAVE SEEN.

SO WE ESPECIALLY APPRECIATED BRENDAN HANSEN SPEAKING, AND HIS MESSAGE WAS PARTICULARLY TIMELY OR TIMELY.

RATHER, WITH THE OLYMPICS GOING ON AND HIM BEING A MEDALIST OVER SEVERAL OLYMPICS.

SO IT WAS A GREAT MORNING, A GREAT KICKOFF TO THE SCHOOL YEAR.

BUT ONE OF THE OTHER THINGS THAT WE WANTED TO MENTION AS A PART OF THIS REPORT, AND ONE OF THE REASONS WHY WE BELIEVE THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A SUCCESSFUL START IN GETTING READY FOR STUDENTS TO RETURN TOMORROW IS A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO BACK TO SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND I'M GOING TO ASK MOLLY MAY, OUR ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION AND ASSESSMENT TO COME.

SHE CAN OVERVIEW WHAT SHE AND HER TEAM HAVE DONE IN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER AND IT'S BEEN SO WELL RECEIVED.

WE WANTED TO GIVE MOLLY AN OPPORTUNITY TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT.

GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME BACK FOR OUR SCHOOL YEAR.

WE'RE VERY EXCITED.

AS DOCTOR ARNETT SAID, WE DID THINGS A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR, AND WE'VE HAD JUST SO MUCH SUCCESS, AND WE'VE SURVEYED ALL OF THE STAFF AND HAVE GOTTEN JUST GREAT FEEDBACK AND SO I WANTED TO TAKE AN OPPORTUNITY JUST TO SHARE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT WITH YOU.

AS YOU PROBABLY REMEMBER, WE TOOK AROUND 100 STAFF MEMBERS TO THE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES CONFERENCE THIS YEAR, AND WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO ALL THE BOOSTER CLUBS WHO HELPED SUPPORT THAT INITIATIVE AND SO WE HAD ADMINISTRATORS, COUNSELORS, CORE TEACHERS, ELECTIVE TEACHERS, SPECIAL TEACHERS FOR TWO AND A HALF DAYS, REALLY DIVING INTO THE WORK OF PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITIES AND IT WAS REALLY IMPACTFUL BECAUSE WE HAD SUCH A LARGE GROUP, THE ORGANIZATION THAT RUNS THE CONFERENCE LET US HAVE OUR OWN ROOM, AND WE WERE ABLE TO JUST DO SOME VERY EANES SPECIFIC THINGS AT THE END OF THE DAY TO, YOU KNOW, KIND OF GATHER TOGETHER AND REALLY TALK ABOUT OUR FOCUS AND WHERE WE WANTED TO GO AS A DISTRICT.

SO THAT WAS REALLY POWERFUL.

THEN WE HAD OUR WELCOME WEEK, WHICH IS NOW ONLY TWO DAYS.

SO IT'S REALLY WELCOME TWO DAYS.

BUT IT USED TO BE IT USED TO BE 4, IT WAS THREE AND NOW IT'S TWO AND IT WAS THOSE DAYS WE FOUND VERY HELPFUL ALSO FOR THE STAFF.

SO ON DAY ONE WE DID SOME INTRODUCTIONS.

WE DID SOME CULTURAL ACTIVITIES.

YOU KNOW. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE IN EANES ISD? WE SPENT SOME TIME ON OUR DEI INITIATIVE AND THEN THEY WENT TO THE CAMP.

THEY'RE BACK TO THEIR CAMPUSES ON THAT FIRST DAY AND THEN ON THE SECOND DAY WE TALKED ABOUT TECHNOLOGY.

WE HAD SOME PHONICS TRAINING, UDL AND MENTAL HEALTH.

I WILL SAY THAT OF ALL THE SESSIONS, THE MENTAL HEALTH ONE WAS THE ONE THAT WAS MOST WELL RECEIVED OR BEST WELL RECEIVED BY THE STAFF WHICH I THOUGHT WAS GREAT.

WITH EVERYTHING THEY HAVE GOING ON, THIS IS ALL THE BRAND NEW STAFF, EVERYTHING THEY HAVE GOING ON.

THAT WAS THE ONE THAT THEY FELT WAS MOST POWERFUL AND JENNA FROM CRIME STOPPERS DID THAT PRESENTATION FOR THE STAFF AND SO

[00:05:04]

THAT WAS A BIG HIT.

THEN THIS WAS WHAT WAS VERY DIFFERENT.

SO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.

SO OUR BACK TO SCHOOL TIME WAS MONDAY AND TUESDAY OR TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WITH THE NEW STAFF AND THEN THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WE CALLED OUR PLC LAUNCH.

THIS WAS A VOLUNTARY TIME FOR ANY OF THE STAFF TO COME IN AND WORK WITH THEIR PLCS.

WE PROMISED THEM WE WOULD NOT PULL THEM.

NO ARD MEETINGS, NO DEPARTMENT MEETINGS, NOTHING, JUST TIME TO WORK WITH THEIR STAFF, WORK ON THEIR TEAMS. WE HAD ALL THE BRAND NEW STAFF WHO WERE THERE.

THEY HAD JUST FINISHED WELCOME WEEK, AND WE PROBABLY HAD ABOUT 90 TO 95% OF OUR STAFF ATTEND THESE DAYS.

NOW, TYPICALLY IN THE SUMMER, WE OFFER A TON OF PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE STAFF BECAUSE THEY'RE REQUIRED TO GET THREE DAYS OF BASICALLY COMP TIME TO.

THEN WE CALL IT EXCHANGE TIME TO HAVE SOME DAYS OFF DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR.

WE DID VERY LITTLE IN THE SUMMER.

WE HAD VERY FEW OFFERINGS AND SAID, THIS IS REALLY THE TIME THAT WE WANT YOU GUYS TO COME TOGETHER AND THE INSTRUCTIONAL COACHES HAD OUTLINED ACTIVITIES FOR THEM TO COMPLETE AND IT WAS AMAZING.

I WAS ON CAMPUSES, I TOLD SEVERAL PEOPLE IT ABSOLUTELY FILLED MY BUCKET BECAUSE I HAD PEOPLE WHO I'VE KNOWN FOR TELLING ME 15, 20 YEARS THAT THIS WAS THE MOST IMPACTFUL PROFESSIONAL LEARNING THEY HAVE BECAUSE THEY'RE IN THEIR TEAMS, THEY'RE DOING COLLABORATIVE PLANNING, THEY'RE GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL, AND THEY REALLY HAD TIME TO DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS THAT THEY HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO DO BEFORE AND THEY SAID IN THE SUMMER, YOU KNOW, WE'VE HAD ALL OF THESE OFFERINGS AND PEOPLE GO TO A SMATTERING OF DIFFERENT THINGS, BUT THE IMPACT ISN'T AS POWERFUL AS BEING ABLE TO WORK WITH YOUR TEAM AND PLAN.

WE HAD THEY SAID MOST OF THERE WERE SEVERAL COMMENTS, BUT THEY APPRECIATED THE FORMAT OF THE LAUNCH DAYS.

THEY SAID IT WAS EFFECTIVE, PRODUCTIVE, HELPING HELP START THE SCHOOL YEAR ON THE RIGHT FOOT.

THERE WAS A STRONG APPRECIATION FOR THE TIME ALLOCATED, ALLOWING TEACHERS TO DISCUSS, PLAN AND GET TO KNOW THEIR TEAMS. FIRST YEAR AND NEW TEACHERS FOUND TIME PARTICULARLY VALUABLE FOR GETTING ACQUAINTED WITH THEIR TEAMS, ASKING QUESTIONS AND FEELING PREPARED FOR SCHOOL.

SO WE ALLOWED THOSE TWO DAYS FOR THAT WORK.

THE STAFF CAME BACK MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

THEY WERE ON THEIR CAMPUSES, AND THEN ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY, WHICH ARE DISTRICT DAYS, WE AGAIN SORT OF GAVE THOSE BACK AND SAID, CONTINUE TO WORK IN YOUR PLCS AND DURING THIS TIME THEY WORKED ON TEAM GOALS.

YOU HAD ALL OF HILL COUNTRY AND WEST RIDGE WERE TOGETHER BOTH DAYS, WHICH RARELY HAPPENS AND SO WE HAD THEM.

ONE DAY THEY WERE AT WEST RIDGE AND ONE DAY THEY WERE AT HILL COUNTRY.

BRIAN SHIPPY AND LIZ EDMONDSON AT THE HIGH SCHOOL DID A TRAINING ON HOW TO USE DATA AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO HELP WRITE THEIR SMART GOALS AND THEIR TEAM GOALS AND SO THERE WAS A LOT OF CONVERSATION AROUND CURRICULUM AND DATA AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.

IT WAS VERY RICH. DOCTOR ARNETT AND I BOTH SAT IN ON THAT PRESENTATION AND ANOTHER EXAMPLE IS WE HAD ALL THE K-12 ART TEACHERS AND ALL THE K-12 MUSIC TEACHERS TOGETHER, AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SOME OF THEM SAID IN 12 YEARS THAT THEY'VE DONE VERTICAL ALIGNMENT K-12 AND SO THESE DAYS HAVE JUST REALLY ALLOWED US TO BRING ALL OF THESE TEAMS TOGETHER.

SOME PEOPLE ARE ON MULTIPLE TEAMS. SO THEY WERE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE DOING SOMETHING OVER HERE WITH THIS TEAM AND THEN GOING BACK TO THEIR CAMPUS.

BUT IT WAS REALLY EFFECTIVE AND IF YOU TALK TO THE TEACHERS, THEY WILL SAY THAT THEY ARE MORE PREPARED AND FEEL BETTER TO START THIS YEAR THAN THEY HAVE IN THE PAST.

SO, YOU KNOW, IT WAS AN INCREMENTAL CHANGE, JUST NOT DOING ALL OF THESE DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES WITH A HUGE IMPACT AND WE'VE DONE HUGE THINGS BEFORE WITH VERY LITTLE IMPACT AND SO WE'RE TRYING TO WORK SMARTER AND NOT JUST HARDER AND, YOU KNOW, WE'VE HAD THINGS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE ON THOSE DAYS WHERE, YOU KNOW, WE'VE HAD 50 SESSIONS RUNNING AND WE'VE HAD FOOD TRUCKS AND WE'VE BROUGHT IN ALL OF THESE GUEST SPEAKERS AND IT'S BEEN A TON OF WORK FOR OUR DEPARTMENT AND THEY LEAVE AND IT WAS NICE AND THEY LEARNED SOMETHING, BUT IT WASN'T AS IMPACTFUL AS BEING ABLE TO WORK WITH THE TEAM.

SO I JUST WANT TO COMPLIMENT MY TEAM WHO REALLY SPEARHEADED ALL OF THIS, THE PRINCIPALS WHO WERE 100% ON BOARD, ALL THE ADMINISTRATION AND THE TEACHERS WHO I MEAN, THEY JUMPED IN AND THEY WENT TO WORK ON ALL OF THOSE DAYS AND REALLY USE THAT TIME VERY EFFECTIVELY AND PRODUCTIVELY.

SO I'M PROUD OF OF ALL OF THE STAFF AND WE ARE READY FOR SCHOOL TOMORROW.

SO MOLLY, THANK YOU.

SO AS YOU CAN TELL, SO MUCH HAS BEEN INVESTED IN SETTING THE INSTRUCTIONAL AND THE CULTURAL TONE TO BEGIN THE SCHOOL YEAR.

A LOT OF ATTENTION HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THAT.

AND AS YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR IN JUST A MOMENT, A LOT OF WORK HAS GONE ON THE FACILITIES SIDE, TOO, THANKS TO THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT OF RECENT BONDS.

SO WE'LL GET TO THAT BIG PRESENTATION IN JUST A MOMENT.

[00:10:01]

BUT THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT.

YES. QUESTION? YEAH. ELLEN AND THEN KIM.

THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SHARE THAT.

THAT'S REALLY EXCITING.

IT'S MY IMPRESSION THAT THIS YEAR WE'VE HAD MUCH HIGHER RETENTION OF OUR STAFF FROM LAST YEAR.

IS THAT THE CASE, AND ARE WE FULLY STAFFED AT THIS POINT IN OUR PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS? I'LL LET LORI LEE, OUR CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER, SPEAK TO THAT.

OUR RETENTION THIS YEAR DEFINITELY IS UP.

SO THAT'S REALLY EXCITING FOR US.

WE ARE ALMOST FULLY STAFFED TEACHING WISE.

WE ARE FULLY STAFFED.

WE HAVE ONE POSITION I THINK STILL LEFT.

THAT'S A PROFESSIONAL ROLE AT THE CAMPUSES, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IS FULLY STAFFED.

WE'RE REALLY EXCITED.

EVEN OUR SPED DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN WORKING REALLY HARD.

SPED TAS AND TEACHERS.

SO EVERYBODY SHOULD BE IN PLACE TOMORROW AND EVEN BUS DRIVERS TOO.

IS THAT RIGHT? YES AND BUS DRIVERS.

GOOD. KIND OF AMAZING.

IT IS VERY GOOD.

THANK YOU. KIM.

YOU HAD. I RECOGNIZED YOU SCRATCHING YOUR EYE.

I WAS NOT RAISING MY HAND.

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO THANK DOCTOR ARNETT AND CABINET FOR ALL OF THE WORK THAT'S GONE INTO GETTING US READY.

THIS IS AMAZING.

WE WILL MOVE ON WITH OUR AGENDA.

I BELIEVE OPEN FORUM IS NEXT AND WE HAVE NO SPEAKERS SIGNED UP TO SPEAK TONIGHT, SO WE WILL MOVE INTO OUR REPORTS.

[6.1 Summer Projects Update]

DOCTOR CHRISTY SAILORS AND BRIAN BOWLES TO JOIN US FOR A REPORT ON SUMMER PROJECT UPDATES.

EXCITING.

ALL RIGHT. GOOD EVENING, BOARD MEMBERS.

AND. THERE WE GO.

GOOD EVENING.

AS AS WE GATHER TODAY, I WANT TO SHARE A STORY OF RESILIENCE, DETERMINATION AND TRIUMPH.

A STORY THAT, LIKE THE JOURNEY OF AN OLYMPIC ATHLETE, IS FILLED WITH INTENSE PREPARATION, UNEXPECTED CHALLENGES AND THE SWEET TASTE OF VICTORY.

THIS SUMMER WAS NOT JUST A SEASON OF WORK.

IT WAS A MARATHON, A TEST OF ENDURANCE, WHERE MEMBERS OF OUR TEAM DEMONSTRATED WHAT IT MEANS TO PUSH THEIR OWN LIMITS, OVERCOME OBSTACLES AND EMERGE STRONGER ON THE OTHER SIDE. FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, WE KNEW THIS SUMMER WOULD BE CHALLENGING.

WE WERE STARING DOWN THE SHORTEST SUMMER IN RECENT MEMORY, TASKED WITH COMPLETING MORE PROJECTS THAN EVER BEFORE.

IT WAS LIKE RUNNING AN OLYMPIC GAME.

IT WAS LIKE TRAINING FOR OLYMPIC GAMES.

MONTHS OF PREPARATION, COUNTLESS HOURS OF PLANNING AND A RELENTLESS FOCUS ON THE GOAL AHEAD.

WE PREPARED FOR THE HEAT AND FOR THE LONG DAYS.

BUT WHAT WE DID NOT SEE COMING WERE THE SURPRISES, THE UNEXPECTED TWISTS THAT TESTED OUR RESILIENCE AT EVERY TURN.

IMAGINE AN ATHLETE STANDING AT THE STARTING LINE, READY FOR THE RACE THEY'VE TRAINED.

THEY'VE STUDIED EVERY MOVE, EVERY POSSIBLE SCENARIO.

BUT THEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE RACE, THE TRACK CHANGES.

A SUDDEN DOWNPOUR TURNS THE SURFACE SLIPPERY.

HURDLES APPEAR WHERE THERE WERE NONE BEFORE.

THIS IS WHAT WE FACED.

WE ANTICIPATED A SUMMER OF 100 DEGREE DAYS, AND INSTEAD WE WERE GREETED NOT ONLY WITH 100 DEGREE DAYS, BUT RAINSTORMS. GREAT FOR KEEPING THE GRASS GREEN, BUT A CHALLENGE WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO INSTALL SOD, REPAIR ROOFS AND STAY AHEAD OF THE RAPIDLY GROWING LANDSCAPE.

WE WERE FOCUSED ON OUR PROCESS, METICULOUSLY PLANNING EVERY DETAIL WITH CONTINGENCIES AND ALTERNATE PATHS.

YET, EVEN WITH ALL OUR PREPARATIONS, THE FLOOR SEEMED TO DROP OUT FROM UNDER US MID-SUMMER.

BUT JUST LIKE AN OLYMPIC CHAMPION DIGS DEEP TO FIND THAT EXTRA BURST OF SPEED.

MY TEAM STEPPED UP AND DID WHAT THEY DO BEST GET THINGS DONE NO MATTER WHAT THE OBSTACLES.

LET ME FIRST HIGHLIGHT THE WORK OF OUR ENRICHMENT AND RENTALS TEAM, LED BY TWO EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN, LISA GRUBER AND JERRY ANY YZNAGA.

IN MANY WAYS, THEIR SUMMER WAS AKIN TO MANAGING A COMPLEX RELAY RACE WHERE EVERY BATON HANDOFF HAD TO BE PERFECT.

THEY FACED THE CHALLENGE AND THEY FACED THE CHALLENGE OF MANAGING OUR PROGRAMS. WHILE MANY OF OUR KEY FACILITIES WERE SHUT DOWN FOR BOND WORK.

OUR PARK FIELDS AT SEVERAL CAMPUSES AND OTHER HIGHLY REQUESTED SPACES WERE ALL OFF LIMITS.

YET THEY DID NOT JUST SURVIVE THE CHALLENGE, THEY THRIVED DESPITE THESE CONSTRAINTS.

OUR ENRICHMENT SAW TOTAL ENROLLMENT OF 2246 STUDENTS, WITH 1752 UNIQUE PARTICIPANTS.

WE GROSSED AN IMPRESSIVE $638,000 IN JUNE AND JULY ALONE.

OVER 130 TEACHERS WERE INVOLVED, EARNING OR EARNING $337,000 IN TRES COMPENSABLE INCOME.

WHEN IT COMES TO RENTALS BETWEEN JUNE 1ST AND JULY 30TH, WE MANAGED 1718 SCHEDULES, BRINGING IN

[00:15:02]

$134,800 IN SUMMER REVENUE.

FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2024, WE GENERATED $855,000, AND THAT DOESN'T EVEN COUNT THE PACK RENTALS.

THESE NUMBERS SPEAK VOLUMES ABOUT THE HARD WORK AND INGENUITY OF LISA AND JERRY, AND I'M DEEPLY SADDENED TO SEE THEM BEING TRANSFERRED TO A NEW DEPARTMENT.

BUT I KNOW THE FOUNDATION WE BUILT TOGETHER WILL CONTINUE TO GROW.

CHRIS, I ASK THAT YOU JUST SUPPORT THEM AND LISTEN TO THEIR IDEAS.

THEY'VE PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN THEY CAN MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN.

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE TEAM, THE BACKBONE ABOUT OF OUR DISTRICT'S OPERATIONS.

IF THE ENRICHMENT AND RENTALS TEAM ARE RUNNING A RELAY, THE MATH TEAM WAS DOING A DECATHLON.

THEY TACKLED EVERY CHALLENGE THROWN THEIR WAY WITH DETERMINATION AND GRIT.

MOVING OVER 5000 PIECES OF FURNITURE ACROSS THE DISTRICT, COMPLETED OVER 680 WORK ORDERS AND DOING SO UNDER THE MOST DEMANDING CONDITIONS.

WE LOST SOME KEY PERSONNEL THIS SUMMER.

OUR ONE AND ONLY PLUMBER AND OUR HVAC SUPERVISOR BOTH MOVED ON TO OTHER DISTRICTS, BUT THE TEAM DIDN'T FALTER.

INSTEAD, THEY DOUBLED DOWN, ENSURING EVERY TASK, EVERY PROJECT WAS COMPLETED AT THE HIGHEST STANDARD.

COMPLIANCE WAS A MAJOR FOCUS THIS SUMMER, ESPECIALLY WITH OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT SETTING NEW SAFETY STANDARDS.

CLAYTON WRIGHT TOOK CHARGE, WORKING TIRELESSLY TO KEEP OUR BUILDINGS UP TO CODE, TESTING ALL THE SYSTEMS AND PASSING ALL ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS.

IT WAS A HERCULEAN EFFORT AND THE RESULTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

WE ALSO FACE A CHALLENGE OF MAINTAINING OUR CAMPUSES AND THOSE IN THE FACE OF THOSE RAINSTORMS. USUALLY THE SUMMER HEAT SUPPRESSES GROWTH, BUT THIS YEAR THE RAIN KEPT EVERYTHING LUSH AND GREEN.

DEMANDING MORE FROM OUR GROUNDS TEAM THAN EVER BEFORE.

THEY WORK SIX AND SEVEN DAY WEEKS, NAVIGATING OBSTACLES THAT WOULD HAVE STOPPED ANY OTHER CREW IN THEIR TRACKS.

WORKING ALONGSIDE AND COACHING HIS TEAM, JONATHAN GOMES DEDICATION ENSURED THAT DESPITE THE ODDS, OUR CAMPUSES ARE LOOKING BETTER THAN EVER.

THEN THERE'S THE BOND TEAM, AND I SAY THAT LOOSELY BECAUSE IT'S REALLY JUST TJ WASHBURN AND HE WAS A ROCK STAR THIS SUMMER.

THE TEAM, IF THEY WERE RUNNING A DECATHLON, TJ WAS COMPETING IN THE PENTATHLON, MANAGING OVER 200 BOND PROJECTS THIS SUMMER ALONE.

THIS WAS THE MOST AMBITIOUS PROJECT LIST WE'VE EVER TACKLED, AND IT WAS COMPLETED IN THE SHORTEST SUMMER WE'VE HAD SINCE WE BEGAN MANAGING THESE BOND PROJECTS.

KEY FACILITIES LIKE THE STADIUM AND THE PRACTICE FIELD ONE AND TWO WENT SIGNIFICANT RENOVATIONS.

WE INSTALLED NEW LED LIGHTS ACROSS THE ATHLETIC FIELDS, INCLUDING BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, THE STADIUM, FIELD ONE AND TWO AS WELL AS WESTRIDGE.

WE REBUILT THE TENNIS COURTS, INSTALLING NEW TENSION SLABS, FENCING AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, LED LIGHTING AND LET'S NOT FORGET THE COUNTLESS FLOORING AND PAINTING PROJECTS ACROSS THE DISTRICT 160,000FTĀ² OF PAINT COVERAGE AND COUNTLESS BOXES OF FLOORING WAS INSTALLED.

TJ'S LEADERSHIP AND THE TEAM'S DEDICATION ENSURED THAT DESPITE THE TIGHT TIMELINE AND UNFORESEEN CHALLENGES, WE COMPLETED MORE PROJECTS THAN EVER BEFORE.

IT'S A RECORD BREAKING ACHIEVEMENT, ONE THAT SETS A NEW STANDARD FOR WHAT WE CAN ACCOMPLISH AND AS I WALK THROUGH OUR SCHOOLS SEEING THE FRUITS OF OUR LABOR, I WAS FILLED WITH AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF PRIDE.

THIS SUMMER WAS THE HARDEST I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY.

BUT SITTING HERE TODAY, I CAN SAY WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT WE ARE STRONGER FOR IT.

THE CAMPUSES LOOK BETTER THAN EVER INSIDE AND OUT.

WE ARE MORE PREPARED FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR THAN EVER BEFORE AND THE SPIRIT OF THE OLYMPICS.

I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT OUR SUCCESS WAS NOT JUST ABOUT INDIVIDUAL EFFORT, BUT THE COLLECTIVE STRENGTH OF OUR TEAM.

WE TRAINED FOR THIS. WE FACED THE UNEXPECTED AND WE EMERGED VICTORIOUS.

LIKE AN OLYMPIC ATHLETE CROSSING THE FINISH LINE.

WE ACHIEVED SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY THIS SUMMER.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME TODAY.

I AM HONORED TO PRESENT THE WORK OF THE TEAM THAT TRULY GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND.

LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING OUR JOURNEY, BUILDING ON THE SUCCESSES OF THIS SUMMER AND FACING WHATEVER CHALLENGES COME OUR WAY WITH THE SAME RESILIENCE AND DETERMINATION THAT BROUGHT US HERE TODAY.

THANK YOU. I APOLOGIZE, I DON'T HAVE A SCRIPT.

I HAVE A HALF A POST-IT NOTE, SO I'M GOING TO WING IT.

THE. WE WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS.

WE HAD A HUGE TASK TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR TEAM WAS FOCUSED ON WHAT THEY NEEDED TO BE FOCUSED ON.

SO WE HAD TO PARTNER WITH A VENDOR TO GET THE OUTSIDE TO WHERE WE WANTED IT TO BE AS A DEPARTMENT.

SO WE PARTNERED WITH GROUND AND GARDEN, THUS THE POST-IT NOTE, AND THEY SENT TWO TEAMS AND THEY WERE ON ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES.

[00:20:05]

THEY POWER WASHED FRONT ENTRANCES, THEY DID SIDEWALKS, THEY TRIMMED TREES, THEY PUT THE MULCH DOWN, THEY TRIM, YOU NAME IT, THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING AND THEY WERE UNDER PRESSURE.

THEY WERE THERE ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT.

THEY WORKED VERY HARD.

WE'RE GRATEFUL THAT THEY AGREED TO PARTNER WITH US AND DROP THEIR OTHER PROJECTS TO COME AND HELP.

EANES SO WE'RE PLEASED.

I HOPE WHEN YOU'RE OUT AND ABOUT, YOU SEE THE WORK THAT THEY'VE DONE, BECAUSE WE'RE REALLY PLEASED AT HOW IT TURNED OUT AND THAT IT IS FINALLY OVER AND WE'RE TECHNOLOGY.

I GET TO SPEAK FOR THOSE LOVELY INDIVIDUALS.

THEY WORKED NOT AS HARD AS OUR MAINTENANCE CREW, BUT THEY DID WORK VERY HARD THIS WEEK, THIS SUMMER, AND WE REPLACED ALL OF OUR STUDENT DEVICES AND THE CASES WE ELECTED TO CHOOSE NEW CASES BECAUSE THE OTHER ONES ARE DAMAGED AND STICKERED UP AND COLORED ON AND EVERYTHING.

SO WE DID NEW CASES WITH THE ACTUAL IPADS.

WHEN WE PURCHASED NEW IPADS, WE GET NEW CABLES FOR CHARGING, SO WE HAD TO REWIRE ALL OF OUR CABLES, OUR CART.

EXCUSE ME. SO WE HAVE 164 ELEMENTARY IPAD CARTS THAT WERE CABLED BOLD FOR THE NEW DEVICES.

SO THAT MIRRORS AND ALL OF THE CLASSROOMS READY TO GO.

WE ALSO TOOK A HUGE UNDERTAKING, AND WE IMPLEMENTED A HELP DESK SYSTEM THAT'S BRAND NEW TO THE DISTRICT.

WE CHOSE INCIDENT IQ AS OUR HELP DESK SYSTEM BECAUSE IT ALSO HAS AN ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT TO IT.

SO HOW IT WORKS IS IF A TEACHER NEEDS A NEW APPLE PENCIL, OR IF THEY NEED A NEW DONGLE, OR THERE'S A NEW CABLE THAT HAS TO BE REPLACED OR WHATEVER, IT AUTOMATICALLY DOCUMENTS IT AND TAKES IT OUT OF INVENTORY, AND WE HAVE AN UPDATED COUNT OF HOW MANY WE HAVE LEFT.

CANDICE HAS TAKEN CARE OF THAT, AND SHE HAS SET THRESHOLDS ON ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT.

SO IN THE EVENT THAT WE HAVE LESS THAN 100 DONGLES SO THAT THE TEACHERS CAN CONNECT MULTIPLE THINGS TO THEIR DEVICES, WE GET A FLAG AND THAT'S WHEN WE KNOW WE HAVE TO REORDER.

SO WE'RE HOPING THAT HELPS EXPEDITE SOME OF OUR THINGS SO WE DON'T ACCIDENTALLY RUN OUT OF SOMETHING.

SO WE'RE THRILLED WITH THAT SYSTEM.

IT WENT LIVE QUIETLY IN JULY, AND WE FOUND THAT USERS WERE USING IT BEFORE WE EVEN ANNOUNCED IT.

SO WE'RE VERY THRILLED ABOUT THAT.

IT'S A VERY USER FRIENDLY.

IT ALLOWS THE TEACHERS TO SUPPORT THEIR STUDENTS.

THEY CAN LOG IN TO THE SYSTEM, THEY CAN SEE THEIR CLASSES, AND THEY CAN SAY, OH, KRISTI'S IPAD IS CRACKED OR THE KEYBOARD IS NOT WORKING, AND THEY COULD SUBMIT THE HELP DESK TICKET FOR STUDENTS.

SO WE'VE ELIMINATED THAT EXTRA LAYER OF, WAIT, YOU GOT TO GO DOWN, YOU GOT TO SEE SOMEBODY IN THE LIBRARY.

THE TEACHER CAN DO IT RIGHT ON THE SPOT, AND WE'RE NOTIFIED INSTANTLY AND WE ALSO FRED BENITEZ, WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING.

FRED BENITEZ IN THE CAMPUS ADMINISTRATOR, SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE APPLICATION FOR APPLE DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL.

AT THIS TIME, ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES ARE APPLE DISTINGUISHED SCHOOLS.

SO WE'RE THRILLED WITH THAT AND THEN AS A REQUIREMENT, EACH OF OUR CAMPUS TECHS, THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WORK ON THE CAMPUSES AND HELP ANSWER THE HELP DESK TICKETS AND MAKE SURE THAT THE STUDENTS HAVE WHAT THEY NEED, WE ASK THEM TO COMPLETE ADVANCED CERTIFICATION THIS YEAR, SO THEY FOCUSED ON SAFETY, DATA PRIVACY, AND CYBERSECURITY.

WE FELT LIKE AS THEY'RE TOUCHING DEVICES, THEY NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE CONFIDENTIALITY AND WHAT THEY'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR.

SO THEY DID THAT FOR US.

INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATES OR THE PROJECT THAT NEVER ENDED.

IT WAS A LONG 60 DAYS.

WE REPLACED ALL PIECES OF INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE DISTRICT.

THAT'S ALL THE WIRELESS ACCESS POINTS.

SO WE DID OVER 819 OF THOSE.

WE DIDN'T. WE PARTNERED WITH VENDORS.

WE ALSO REPLACED 309 SWITCHES.

SO 309 SWITCHES SOUNDS LIKE A LOT.

BUT WHEN YOU REALIZE THAT EACH SWITCH HAS 30 TO 40 CONNECTIONS PER SWITCH.

THAT'S WHAT RUNS ALL OF OUR EQUIPMENT THAT WAS DONE.

SO IT'S ALL SHINY AND NEW AND UNDER WARRANTY.

NOW WITH THE SWITCH, WE WERE ACTUALLY ABLE TO PREVENT NETWORK LOOPS.

THE NETWORK LOOP IS WHEN SOMEBODY PLUGS IN TWO THINGS INTO THE SAME PORT.

IN THE PAST, IT WOULD TURN THE EQUIPMENT OFF AND WE WOULD BE HAVE AN INTERNET OUTAGE AT HILL COUNTRY MIDDLE SCHOOL THE DAY BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS OR SOMETHING.

THIS HAPPENED LAST YEAR.

IT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME THIS YEAR.

WE HAD THING IN AT THE LIBRARY AND IT DID EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DO.

IT TURNED THAT PORT OFF, DID NOT TAKE THE BUILDING DOWN OR THE DISTRICT DOWN.

WE GOT AN ALERT THAT SAID, YOU'VE GOT A LOOP IN SUCH AND SUCH PORT SENT SOMEBODY THERE AND THEY WERE LIKE, OH YEAH, YOUR PHONE'S PLUGGED INTO YOUR PHONE, CAUSING THE LOOP, BUT

[00:25:10]

NOBODY KNEW IT.

IT WAS AMAZING. MONEY WELL SPENT.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT AND WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED REMOTE MONITORING AND SECURITY APPLICATION ON OUR WINDOWS DEVICES.

WE DON'T HAVE THAT MANY WINDOWS DEVICES, BUT AS WE KNOW, THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO HAVE A MALWARE, A VIRUS, AN ISSUE.

SO WHAT WE'VE DONE TO ELIMINATE OR ADD AN EXTRA LAYER OF PROTECTION IS WE ADDED EDR SOFTWARE ON THOSE SO IT SCANS CONTINUOUSLY, DOESN'T IMPACT THE USER.

IT'S JUST MAKING SURE WHATEVER THE KIDS ARE DOING OR WHATEVER THE STAFF'S DOING, THAT WE'RE OKAY AND THEY'RE NOT ANYTHING ON THERE THAT'S LIVING, TRYING TO HARM THE ACTUAL DEVICE ITSELF.

SO WE'RE PLEASED WITH THAT.

FINALLY, WE WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE SECONDARY FIBER CONNECTION AT OUR DISASTER RECOVERY SITE.

THAT WAS CRITICAL BECAUSE IN THE EVENT THAT OUR PRIMARY INTERNET PROVIDER IS WITHOUT SERVICE, FOR WHATEVER REASON, WE CAN STAND UP ALL OF OUR CRITICAL SYSTEMS FROM THE DISASTER RECOVERY SITE BECAUSE WE HAVE A DIFFERENT INTERNET PROVIDER THERE.

SO THAT IS WAS A HUGE UNDERTAKING.

IT'S 95% FINISHED.

WHAT WE'LL DO NEXT IS WE'RE GOING TO WORK WITH THE MALLARD TEAM AND MAKE SURE OUR SECURITY CAMERAS.

ARE THERE. ANYTHING THAT WE WOULD NEED TO POWER UP FOR SAFETY IS ALSO ON THE DISASTER RECOVERY SITE.

DOOR ACCESS, ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

SO WE'RE WORKING WITH ALL SIDES OF THE HOUSE TO MAKE SURE THAT WHAT WE HAVE IS ACCESSIBLE WHEN WE NEED IT AND THEN WE ALSO, AS WE DO ALL OF THE TIME, WE COMPLETED ALL OF THE SECURITY UPDATES, INCLUDING ALL OF THE REQUIRED SUBMISSIONS TO TIA THAT SAYS, YES, I'M CERTIFIED, QUINN IS CERTIFIED.

OUR STAFF MEMBERS HAVE COMPLETED ALL OF THE NECESSARY REQUIREMENTS AND THEN LASTLY, PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.

WE FINISHED.

NOTICE I'M KNOCKING THE SAFETY AND SECURITY.

IT'S OUR ALERT SYSTEM.

SO LAST PHASE WAS COMPLETED THIS SUMMER.

QUINN FINISHED THAT WITH BK AND MATT'S HELP, IT WILL NOW ALERT STUDENTS AND STAFF IN FIVE DIFFERENT WAYS IF THERE IS AN EVENT ON CAMPUS.

SO IT WILL GO ACROSS ALL OF THE PA SYSTEMS, INCLUDING OUTSIDE.

IT IS VERY LOUD.

WE HEARD IT AT THE DOCK WHEN WE TESTED VALLEY VIEW, SO THAT'S GOAL ACCOMPLISHED.

IT'S ALSO GOING TO ALERT ALL OF THE DESK PHONES SO IT WILL GIVE THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE CLASSROOM OR ANY PHONE A VISUAL, BUT ALSO AN AUDIO ANNOUNCEMENT THAT MIRRORS WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE PA SYSTEM.

ALL OF THE CLASSROOM PANELS WILL NOW SHOW THE EVENT INFORMATION.

SO YOU HAVE ON THE SLIDE, THERE'S A PICTURE OF THE MESSAGE ON A PHONE.

SO ALL OF OUR PHONES SHOW THAT'S THE TOP RIGHT.

THE MIDDLE ONE IS AN ACTUAL CLASSROOM PANEL.

SO IN THE EVENT SOMETHING HAPPENS ON CAMPUS, ANY OF THE POLICE OFFICERS, THE ADMINISTRATORS START ARNETT ANYBODY IN ADMINISTRATION SEE SOMETHING? WE CAN ALERT THE CLASSROOMS. IT WILL TAKE OVER WHATEVER THE TEACHERS ARE PRESENTING.

WE'VE EVEN TESTED IT OVER A MOVIE TO MAKE SURE THAT IT'S GOING TO STOP THE SIGNAL AND PRIORITIZE THE ALERT AND THEN THE BOTTOM ONE IS A LARGE COMMON SPACE THAT IS THE CAFETERIA IN HILL COUNTRY.

SO WE HAVE PROOF OF CONCEPT THAT WE WERE ABLE TO SUCCESSFULLY MAKE THAT WORK IN ADDITION TO THE DISPLAYS AND THAT WAS THE LAST PIECE OF THIS.

STAFF MEMBERS CAN SIGN UP TO GET ALERTS AND THEY WILL ALSO RECEIVE EMAILS.

SO WE'RE HOPING THAT WITH FIVE TYPES OF NOTIFICATION, EVERYBODY KNOWS WHAT'S HAPPENING AND WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO TAKE ACTION.

THAT'S IT.

TRUSTEES I'LL START WITH HEATHER AND THEN GO TO ELLEN.

THANK YOU BOTH FOR ALL OF THAT.

ALSO FOR THE STORY TIME.

THAT WAS LOVELY.

SO, YEAH, I'M TIRED JUST THINKING ABOUT ALL THE STUFF THAT YOU GUYS DID AND YOUR TEAM DID, SO KUDOS ON ALL OF THAT AND I WILL SAY, MY KIDS WENT TO WESTLAKE WELCOME AND THEY WERE LIKE, MOM, THEY PAINTED THE FLOORS AND THEY DID ALL THIS AND SO, LIKE, IF MY KIDS NOTICED, THAT'S BIG.

SO CONGRATULATIONS.

SO MY QUESTION, ONE OF THEM SO YOU GUYS MENTIONED ARE REPLACING ALL THE IPADS.

SO WHAT ABOUT THE KIDDOS THAT BROUGHT THEM HOME OVER THE SUMMER? THEY WILL THEY GET NEW IPADS.

IS THAT GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE TOMORROW?

[00:30:01]

NO. OKAY.

WHAT WE'RE DOING IS THE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS WILL WALK IN TOMORROW AND THEIR NEW IPAD IS THERE.

WE COLLECTED ALL OF THE OLD IPADS.

THEY'RE ALREADY OUT OF DISTRICT, OUT OF INVENTORY, AND THE NEW ONES ARE THERE WAITING FOR THEM.

OKAY, WE'VE LOGGED INTO EVERYTHING.

SO IT'S HERE'S KRISTI'S IPAD.

THEY WON'T KNOW ANY DIFFERENT OTHER THAN THERE'S NO STICKERS OR WHATEVER.

THE SECONDARY CAMPUSES, WE'VE WORKED WITH CAMPUS ADMINISTRATORS TO DECIDE WHEN THEY WANTED US TO EXCHANGE THE DEVICES.

SO IT'S A STAGED ROLLOUT.

WESTRIDGE AND HILL COUNTRY HAVE PICKED A DAY WILL STAFF THAT WILL GO, AND THEY PICK A SPECIFIC CLASS THAT WILL COME DOWN, SWAP THEIR DEVICES, THEY'LL WALK AWAY WITH A BRAND NEW ONE AND THEN THE CAMPUS STAFF HAVE A SHORT VIDEO THAT THEY'LL PLAY ON.

OKAY, LET'S MAKE SURE YOU CAN GET TO GOOGLE.

LET'S MAKE SURE YOU CAN ACCESS YOUR EMAIL.

LET'S MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN GET YOUR TEXTBOOKS AS PART OF THE FINAL CHECKLIST.

WHILE THE TECH STAFF ARE THERE, AND IN THE EVENT CHRISTIE HAS A PROBLEM, THEY CAN GO BACK DOWN AND MEET WITH THE TECH STAFF AND WILL RESOLVE IT ON SITE.

SO WE HAVE THOSE DATES ALREADY PICKED OUT FOR WEST RIDGE.

THE HILL COUNTRY AND THE HIGH SCHOOL.

BUT IT'S NOT UNTIL CLOSER TO THE END OF THE MONTH AND INTO SEPTEMBER TO MAKE SURE THE CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGES STOP.

WE'VE GOT ACCOUNTED FOR ALL OF THE NEW STUDENTS AND EVERYTHING.

COOL. SOUNDS GREAT.

THANK YOU. I THINK THAT WAS IT ON MY QUESTIONS, SO YEAH.

GREAT JOB. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

HEATHER. ELLEN.

HI. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS SUMMER.

WHILE WE WERE TAKING IT EASY, YOU CLEARLY WERE WERE WORKING EXTRAORDINARILY HARD AND THAT DOESN'T SURPRISE ME, BECAUSE YOU BOTH ARE SO GOOD AND YOUR TEAMS ARE SO GOOD. THAT THOSE ACCOMPLISHMENTS JUST SPEAK FOR THE QUALITY AND THE COMMITMENT AND THE DEDICATION THAT YOU ALL HAVE TO THE DISTRICT AND THAT CAN'T BE UNDERSTATED ENOUGH.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I DO HAVE A QUESTION, CHRISTIE, ABOUT THE FIVE DIFFERENT NOTIFICATIONS.

THIS MAY BE OLD THINKING BACK IN THE DAY.

BUT AT ONE POINT THERE WAS DISCUSSION ABOUT PARTICULARLY PA ANNOUNCEMENTS AND WHETHER OR NOT THOSE WERE APPROPRIATE IN EVERY SITUATION THAT IF THERE IS A CATASTROPHIC SITUATION AND AN UNWANTED PERSON ON CAMPUS, YOU KNOW, THEY MIGHT LEARN TOO MUCH FROM THAT KIND OF ANNOUNCEMENT.

DO WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO VARY THE RESPONSE BETWEEN THE FIVE AND WHO DOES THAT, AND CAN IT BE DONE IN REAL TIME? WE HAVE THE GOVERNANCE TO CHANGE ANYTHING THAT WE NEED TO ON THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT.

WE CAN ALSO CONTROL WHAT GETS ACTIVATED AND WHAT DOESN'T GET ACTIVATED.

ALL OF THE POLICE OFFICERS HAVE THAT CAPABILITY.

THE ADMINISTRATORS DO AND THEN I HAVE A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE OF TECH SERVICES THAT CAN DO THAT ON THE FLY IF WE NEED TO, BUT YES, WE WORKED WITH MATT AND BC TO DECIDE, OKAY, WHAT IF? WHAT DO WE NOT WANT IT TO DO? SO WE DID A PRACTICE RUN TO MAKE SURE THAT, OKAY, LET'S PRETEND LIKE WE DON'T WANT THE PA SYSTEM BECAUSE THE INDIVIDUAL MIGHT BE IN THE CAMPUS.

WE WOULD NOT HAVE THE PA GO, BUT THE CLASSROOM MONITORS WOULD GO, THE PHONES WOULD GO, AND THE TEXT AND THE EMAILS WOULD GO, GREAT.

SO YES, WE HAVE FLEXIBILITY.

IT'S NOT AN ALL OR NOTHING.

NOW, THE ACTUAL PROMPTS THAT SHOW UP, IF I CAN GO BACK QUICKLY, THOSE PROMPTS ARE KIND OF SET IN STONE, BUT I HAVE A TEMPLATE THAT IS JUST A IT'S A RED SCREEN, AND IF THE RED SCREEN GOES UP, THEN THE STAFF WILL KNOW, STOP, SOMETHING'S GOING ON AND THAT THEY'LL KNOW FROM TALKING TO THEIR CAMPUS ADMINISTRATOR OR THE POLICE OFFICERS.

WHAT DOES WHAT'S MY BEHAVIOR NOW? OKAY. EXCELLENT.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU, ELLEN KIM.

THANK YOU BOTH.

THIS WAS IT'S ALMOST OVERWHELMING TO UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH YOU'VE DONE OVER THE SUMMER, AND I APPRECIATE THAT.

I WAS JUST AT ADMINISTRATION THIS MORNING AND SAW THE MULCH COMING OUT AND A NUMBER OF PEOPLE SPRUCING UP, SO I APPRECIATE THAT. TO FOLLOW UP ON ELLEN'S QUESTION, IS THAT SO WITH CHRISTY, WITH THIS NEW SYSTEM, FROM A TRAINING STANDPOINT, FROM AN ACTIVE SHOOTER STANDPOINT ON THE CAMPUSES? I MEAN, DOES THAT ARE WE DOVETAILING THE THE NOTICES WITH THE STATE REQUIRED TRAINING AND, ANYTHING ELSE THAT MIGHT COME UP? YES, WE FOLLOW WITH MATT AND BC'S GUIDANCE.

WE FOLLOW THE INCIDENT RESPONSE FOND PROTOCOL THAT WE FOLLOW FOR ANYTHING ELSE.

THAT'S HOW THAT SYSTEM WAS BUILT.

[00:35:02]

SO WE TRIED TO ALIGN WITH THE REQUIREMENTS, THE EXPECTATIONS.

WHICH TONE MEANS WHAT? WHAT'S THE MESSAGE SAY? WHAT'S THE ALL CLEAR SAY WHEN DO WE DO THAT.

WHEN DO WE NOT DO THAT? SO WE'VE FOLLOWED IT CLOSELY AND WE'VE TWEAKED IT A LOT BASED ON CHANGES.

SO AS THEY LEARN MORE AND AS THEY REALIZE WE NEED TO ADAPT, WE'LL DO THAT.

IT'LL PROBABLY NEVER ENDING PROJECT.

YES. GOOD AND THAT KIND OF SEGUES INTO MY ORIGINAL QUESTION BEFORE ELLEN'S GOOD QUESTION, WHICH WAS WITH ALL OF YOUR WITH SO MUCH GOING ON OVER THE SUMMER AND THE PROCESSES THAT YOU HAVE IN PLACE, I'M ASSUMING THAT THERE ARE ALSO KIND OF A LESSON LEARNED.

AND HOW DO WE MAKE IT BETTER FOR NEXT TIME? BECAUSE WITH SO MANY BALLS IN THE AIR, YOU KNOW YOU'RE GOING TO LEARN AS YOU GO FORWARD.

SO I'M ASSUMING THAT THERE'S JUST CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT ON ALL OF THESE THINGS IN THIS AREA.

GREAT. THANK YOU.

THANK YOU KIM. WE'LL GO TO DIANE.

WELL THANK YOU.

MIND BLOWING THE AMOUNT OF WORK THAT YOU DID.

FIRST, DID YOU FIND A NEW PLUMBER AND HVAC GUY? OKAY. DO YOU KNOW ANYBODY? I'LL LOOK THROUGH MY ROLODEX.

AND MY OTHER QUESTION IS RELATED TO SOMETHING WE'VE TALKED ABOUT BEFORE.

ALL OF THIS WONDERFUL NEW EQUIPMENT THAT WE BRING IN MEANS THAT WE HAVE A LOT OF NOW EQUIPMENT THAT NEEDS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND WE KNOW THAT WE CAN'T JUST DONATE IT.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED WITH AND WE HAVEN'T COLLECTED ALL THE IPADS AND THEN ALL THE DESKS.

YOU KNOW, I'VE HEARD OF SOME FACILITY WHERE WE HAVE A LOT OF THINGS STORED.

I'M JUST KIND OF CURIOUS, WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR THAT? I CAN SPEAK TO THE TECHNOLOGY BECAUSE THAT IS THE MOST RECENT EXPERIENCE.

ALL OF OUR TECH IS SOLD TO AN APPROVED VENDOR AND IT'S A BUYBACK PROCESS.

SO THEY TAKE OUR DEVICES.

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IT IS.

IT COULD BE A WINDOWS LAPTOP, IT COULD BE A MACBOOK, IT COULD BE AN APPLE TV, IT COULD BE AN IPAD.

THEY TAKE THEM AND THEY ASSESS THEM AND THEY GRADE THEM.

AND WE GET AN X NUMBER OF BACK OF A DOLLAR AMOUNT BACK BASED ON THE GRADE AND THE QUANTITY THAT THEY GET.

SO WE DO A SCHEDULED PICKUP THREE TIMES A SCHOOL YEAR AND THEY COME WITH TRUCKS AND TAKE ALL OF OUR RESOURCES THAT WE'VE TAKEN OUT OF INVENTORY. THEY'LL GRADE THEM AND THEN WE GET A CHECK BACK FOR THOSE PURCHASES THAT GO BACK INTO THE BOND FUNDS THAT WERE USED TO BUY THE DEVICES TO BEGIN WITH.

SO IN OUR INVENTORY, WE KNOW THAT THESE THIS GROUP OF LAPTOPS OR THIS GROUP OF APPLE TVS WAS PURCHASED OUT OF BOND IN 2019 WHEN THOSE WHEN WE GET THE CHECK BACK FOR THOSE THAT THOSE FUNDS GO BACK INTO BOND 2019.

SO THE ONES THAT WE JUST PURCHASED OUT OF BOND 23, WHEN THEY'RE AT END OF LIFE, WE WILL SELL THOSE AND PUT THAT MONEY BACK IN 2023.

A FOLLOW UP QUESTION REAL QUICK.

DO WE DO WE BUDGET FOR THAT? DO WE ANTICIPATE IS THERE VERY MUCH MONEY THAT COMES BACK OFF OF AN OLD IPAD THAT A MIDDLE SCHOOLER IS USED FOR? ACTUALLY THERE ARE I MEAN, WE I MEAN, IT'S NOT A LOT OF MONEY, BUT YES, WE PROBABLY BRING IN I'M LOOKING AT CHRIS BECAUSE HE'S THE NOT ALL OF THEM.

YEAH. COUPLE HUNDRED THOUSAND.

YEAH. OKAY.

SO IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING AND IT'S BETTER THAN WHEN WE WOULD GET FOR SELLING IT IN THE WAREHOUSE FOR, YOU KNOW, 20 BUCKS OR WHATEVER.

RIGHT. THANK YOU AND THAT'S KIND OF WHAT WE DO WITH THE FURNITURE, IS WE TRY TO SELL IT.

SOMETIMES WE, YOU KNOW, WE TRY TO GET RID OF ALL OF THE STUFF THAT'S BROKEN.

IF WE CAN'T FIX IT, THEN WE REMOVE IT.

WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF STORAGE.

IT'S KIND OF A MISCONCEPTION, BUT WE IT GETS FILLED UP INTO THE PARKING LOT PRETTY QUICK AND SO WE TRY TO SAVE WHAT WE CAN AND KEEP YOUR DESKS AND STUFF AND GET THROUGH THE FIRST COUPLE WEEKS OF SCHOOL FOR SURE.

SO THAT EVERYONE HAS WHAT THEY NEED AND THEN TRY TO SELL IT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND HOPEFULLY A LOT OF IT GOES AND COMES BACK INTO THE BOND AND BUY NEW STUFF.

SO IF I NEED A DESK, I CAN JUST COME BY.

GREAT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.

IS IT REALLY STUFF? THERE'S SOME FINES. IS THAT POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA? HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT THIS EVENT? NO, PEOPLE.

OKAY. YEAH.

PERFECT. OKAY.

WELL, WE'LL HEAR FROM OR KELLY MARWILL.

YOU'RE RECOGNIZED.

I LOVED BRIAN.

I LOVED THAT YOU STUCK WITH THE SPIRIT OF THE OLYMPICS, AND I HOPE THAT YOU HOOKED EVERYBODY UP WITH A GOLD MEDAL AFTER THAT.

THAT WAS AMAZING.

I GOT, AS HEATHER HAD SAID, WITH THE KIDS, TALKING ABOUT THE IMPROVEMENTS.

[00:40:02]

I HAD A LOT OF TEACHERS REACH OUT TO ME, AND VERY SPECIFICALLY THE HILL COUNTRY BAND AND INSTRUMENT ROOM AND EVERYTHING IS INCREDIBLE.

IT'S BEEN NOTICED BY EVERYONE.

SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT AND THE SEC HAS BEEN VERY APPRECIATED, ALTHOUGH NO ONE IS ON IT AND I'M VERY SOLID ABOUT THAT.

I WANTED TO KNOW, THOUGH, I SEE THE PICTURE OF THE SOLAR PANELS ON AND IT SAID A EANES ELEMENTARY.

ARE THOSE PART OF THE SOLAR PANEL PROJECT THEN THAT WAS AT WESTRIDGE, OR IS THAT SO THAT IS OUR FIRST SCHOOL THAT WE'VE KIND OF ROLLED OUT THE INSTALL OF THE WHOLE SOLAR PANEL SOLAR PROJECT.

SO EVERY CAMPUS WILL BE GETTING SOLAR PANELS AND THAT WAS THE FIRST ONE I THINK.

VALLEY VIEW IS THE NEXT AND THEN FOREST TRAIL AND HILL COUNTRY.

BUT RIGHT NOW THAT IS THE PHYSICAL SOLAR PANEL AND INVERTERS AND STUFF THAT ARE INSTALLED.

IT'S NOT TURNED ON YET.

WE HAVEN'T DONE THAT YET, BUT THEY'VE TESTED IT SO SOON THAT WILL GO ONLINE AND THEN WE'RE ROLLING THROUGH EACH CAMPUS.

OKAY. YEAH.

THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

OKAY. THANK YOU BOTH VERY MUCH.

APPRECIATE THE EFFORTS. PLEASE THANK YOUR TEAMS ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD, PLEASE.

WE APPRECIATE IT. MR. SPRADLEY, I JUST WANT TO MENTION TO DOCTOR SELLERS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR COORDINATION.

WE HAD A LEADERSHIP TRANSITION TWO WEEKS BEFORE SCHOOL BEGAN AND SO SHE HAS REALLY WORKED TO HELP LEAD THIS TEAM AND ALL OF THE HARD WORK THAT YOU SAW PRESENTED TO YOU THIS EVENING. AND IN FACT, YOU'LL BE, WE HOPE, VOTING ON HER CONTRACT IN JUST A FEW MINUTES.

SO. YEAH.

WONDERFUL. GOOD TRANSITION.

MOVING FORWARD WITH OUR AGENDA, WE WILL MOVE INTO OUR DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS.

[8.1 Request to Approve the Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Technology Contract]

THE FIRST ITEM IS A REQUEST TO APPROVE THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY CONTRACT.

LORI OR DOCTOR ARNETT.

DO YOU WANT TO? YOU WANT TO? SURE. WELL, YOU KNOW, DOCTOR TAYLOR IS VERY WELL, AND SHE CERTAINLY HAS PROVEN HER VALUE TO THIS ORGANIZATION WITH THE OPPORTUNITY THIS SUMMER TO RESTRUCTURE, CONTINUE TO TRY TO STREAMLINE AND BE MORE EFFICIENT IN OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM AND WE FEEL LIKE THIS IS A WELL DESERVED OPPORTUNITY FOR DOCTOR SAILORS TO BECOME OUR ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY.

YOU SAW ALL OF THOSE AREAS ENCOMPASSED IN THE PRESENTATION JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO.

WE'RE VERY PROUD TO WORK WITH DOCTOR SAILORS, AND WE HOPE THAT YOU'LL CONSIDER THIS RECOMMENDATION TO APPROVE HER CONTRACT TONIGHT AS THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT.

THANK YOU. HEATHER MOTION.

YES. I RECOMMEND MEND WHOLEHEARTEDLY THAT THE BOARD AND TRUSTEES APPROVED THE CONTRACT FOR THE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF OPERATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY.

I'D LOVE TO SECOND THAT MOTION.

BY HEATHER. SECOND BY ELLEN.

ANY DISCUSSION BY THE BOARD? HEATHER. YAY! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK.

WE'RE HAPPY YOU'RE HERE.

GREAT FIT. APPRECIATE YOU STEPPING UP TO DO THAT.

BOARD, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION SAY AYE.

AYE. ANY OPPOSED? MOTION CARRIES SEVEN ZERO.

THE NEXT ITEM ON OUR AGENDA IS THE SECOND READING ON POLICY UPDATE ONE TWO, THREE.

[8.2 Second Reading on Policy Update 123]

LET'S START WITH A MOTION.

DO I HAVE A MOTION, LAURA? THAT'S RIGHT.

OKAY, I'M GOING TO I'D LIKE TO PULL ONE OF THE.

ACTUALLY, I'D LIKE TO PULLTWO OF THE POLICIES FROM CONSIDERATION TONIGHT AND THEY ARE CKE LOCAL, CKEA LOCAL AND THOSE PERTAIN TO OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.

THE RED LINE THAT WE RECEIVED DOESN'T ACCURATELY REFLECT OUR CURRENT POLICY, SO I WOULD LIKE FOR US TO REVISIT THAT.

I WHAT IT IS THE RED LINE THAT WE RECEIVED IS A BOILERPLATE TASB POLICY AND AS WE ALL KNOW, WE ADOPTED A POLICY THAT WAS MUCH MORE ROBUST AND SO WE NEED TO DO A TRUE RED LINE ON OUR CURRENT APPROVED [INAUDIBLE].

SO DO YOU WANT ME TO MAKE.

YEAH, I CAN MAKE A MOTION. OKAY.

SO SORRY.

I MOVE THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ADOPT THE FOLLOWING PROPOSED POLICIES AS WRITTEN BPD LOCAL, BDFA LOCAL CKC LOCAL, CQC LOCAL, DCE LOCAL, DEC LOCAL, DGBA LOCAL, EEH LOCAL, EF LOCAL EFA LOCAL, EFB LOCAL, F AND G LOCAL AND GF LOCAL.

I HAVE A MOTION. DO I HAVE A SECOND? SECOND BY ELLEN. MOTION BY LAURA.

SECOND BY ELLEN.

ANY DISCUSSION?

[00:45:01]

I'LL JUMP IN AND SAY I AGREE.

I'M GRATEFUL TO THE TRUSTEES WHO BROUGHT THIS TO OUR ATTENTION TODAY.

I DON'T THINK THAT ANYONE IS SAYING THAT IT'S A BAD POLICY OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

AND WE CERTAINLY LOVE OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.

WE JUST WANT TO GO BACK AND REVIEW THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WHAT THE BOARD IMPLEMENTED 15 MONTHS AGO AND WHAT'S BEING PROPOSED HERE.

THAT'S ALL. SO WE WILL HAVE THAT OPPORTUNITY.

WE'LL PROVIDE A RED LINE LET THE BOARD REVIEW THAT, AND THEN WE CAN TAKE THAT UP IN OUR NEXT MEETING.

OKAY. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION AS PRESENTED SAY AYE.

AYE. ANY OPPOSED? THE MOTION CARRIES SEVEN ZERO.

NEXT ITEM ON THE AGENDA IS DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION AND DISCUSSION.

[8.3 Discussion, Consideration and Possible Endorsement for Region 13 candidate for TASB Board]

CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ENDORSEMENT FOR REGION 13.

CANDIDATE FOR TASB BOARD.

REAL QUICK AS AN INTRO.

DISTRICTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENDORSE CANDIDATES WHO ARE RUNNING FOR THE TASB BOARD.

WE ARE IN REGION 13.

THE STATE IS DIVIDED INTO REGIONS.

WE ARE IN REGION 13.

WE HAVE TWO CANDIDATES RUNNING FROM REGION 13.

THE BOARD, THREE CANDIDATES RUNNING FROM REGION 13.

THE BOARD HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE TO ENDORSE A CANDIDATE OR NOT ENDORSE A CANDIDATE.

IT'S COMPLETELY UP TO US.

I THINK WE OUGHT TO START WITH A MOTION EITHER TO ENDORSE OR NOT TO ENDORSE AND HAVE A DISCUSSION AND THEN VOTE ON A NAME IF WE CHOOSE TO ENDORSE. SO DO I HAVE A MOTION? THERE. I MOVE THAT THE BOARD TAKE ACTION TO ENDORSE A CANDIDATE FOR THE REGION 13 POSITION ON THE NAACP BOARD. MOTION BY HEATHER.

SECOND BY LAURA. ANY DISCUSSION? I GUESS WE'RE MOVING TO HAVE A DISCUSSION.

WE'RE MOVING TO.

OKAY. THAT'S FINE.

LET'S DISCUSS.

AMEND THE MOTION AND THEN.

OKAY. SO OPEN FOR DISCUSSION.

HEATHER, WOULD YOU MADE THE MOTION.

DO YOU WANT TO START THE DISCUSSION? SO YES, WE HAVE THREE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE TASB BOARD AND THIS PERSON REALLY DOES REPRESENT OUR REGION ON THE TASB BOARD AT ALL OF THE TAASB MEETINGS.

SO IT IS AN IMPORTANT POSITION.

KATHY MAIER HAS SERVED IN THAT ROLE FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS.

SHE WAS ELECTED FROM THE FLOOR.

NO ONE LAST TIME GOT ENOUGH ENDORSEMENTS, UNFORTUNATELY AND SO THERE WAS AN ELECTION FROM THE FLOOR AND KATHY DID WIN THAT LAST YEAR.

BRIAN HOLUBEC DID RUN LAST YEAR AS WELL AND DID SECURE THE MAJORITY OF THE NOMINATIONS FROM REGION 13.

OUT OF ALL THE CANDIDATES THAT RAN LAST YEAR, HE HAD THE MOST AND I BELIEVE HE'S IN THE LEAD AGAIN THIS YEAR.

KATHY HAS DONE A FANTASTIC JOB.

I THINK THAT, YOU KNOW, SHE'S GREAT.

BRIAN, I SERVE WITH ON THE CENTRAL TEXAS SCHOOL BOARD ASSOCIATION AND HAVE FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS.

HE SERVES AS THE SMALL DISTRICT VICE PRESIDENT AND HAS DONE A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WORK FOR OUR REGION. AND THE CENTRAL TEXAS SCHOOL BOARD ASSOCIATION.

HE WAS AT THE CAPITOL TODAY, YESTERDAY? BASICALLY, YOU KNOW, IF YOU NEED SOMETHING, HE'S YOUR GUY.

HE EVEN BROUGHT A GENERATOR TO A TRUSTEE IN HOUSTON DURING THE POWER OUTAGES.

SO I CAN'T SPEAK TO THE OTHER NOMINEE, STEPHANIE.

I DON'T KNOW HER VERY WELL.

I THINK I'VE MET HER ONCE OR TWICE.

SHE'S ONLY BEEN ON THE BOARD LESS THAN TWO YEARS.

SO I WOULD LEAN, YOU KNOW, TOWARDS SOMEONE WITH A LITTLE BIT MORE EXPERIENCE LEADING US AT TASB BOARD MEETINGS. BUT I'M OPEN TO IF ANYBODY ELSE HAS ANYTHING THAT THEY'D LIKE TO SAY AND THEN I CAN ADD MY THOUGHTS AGAIN.

BUT I DON'T WANT TO TAKE OVER THE WHOLE CONVERSATION.

ANYBODY ELSE HAVE ANYTHING? DIANE AND THEN KIM.

THANK YOU.

HEATHER KNOWS THESE INDIVIDUALS MUCH BETTER THAN I DO, BUT I CAN SUPPORT WHAT SHE HAS SAID ABOUT BRIAN HOLUBEC AND I HAVE MET KATHY, AND I DON'T KNOW HER VERY WELL, BUT BRIAN HAS JUST REPEATEDLY PROVEN TIME AND TIME AGAIN HIS DEDICATION TO PUBLIC EDUCATION AND SERVING HIS DISTRICT, AND IS JUST A REAL STAND UP GUY.

SO I DEFINITELY AGREE WITH YOU THAT THAT'S THE CANDIDATE THAT I WOULD WANT TO SUPPORT.

THANK YOU. DIANE KEMP.

I WAS GOING TO.

DIANE. I SECOND.

I GUESS WHAT BOTH YOU AND HEATHER HAVE SAID, THAT BRIAN HAS BEEN AT EVERY ACTIVITY THAT I'VE BEEN ATTENDING AT TASB, AND I KNOW THAT HE HIS HEART

[00:50:01]

IS THERE. SO THAT'S WHO I WOULD RECOMMEND AS WELL.

THANK YOU. KIM. LAURA.

WELL, SINCE MY LIGHT IS GREEN, I HAD A LIVE MIC.

YES, I KNOW THESE ALL THREE CANDIDATES, SOME OF THEM BETTER THAN OTHERS.

BRIAN. ABSOLUTELY.

IF YOU NEED SOMETHING DONE, HE'S YOUR GUY AND IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION.

HE'S YOUR GUY.

HE'S ALWAYS THERE.

YEAH. HE DID TAKE A GENERATOR TO ONE OF OUR FELLOW TRUSTEES AND SHE WASN'T CLOSE TO HIM EITHER.

I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY HOURS HE DROVE.

I APPRECIATE THE WORK THAT KATHY HAS DONE.

SHE'S BEEN A JOY TO TO WORK WITH, AND I.

YOU KNOW, I APPRECIATE HER.

BUT, YEAH, I THINK, BRIAN, FOR WHERE WE ARE NOW, THAT BRIAN WOULD BE A GOOD FIT FOR THE BOARD.

ANY MORE FEEDBACK, ELLEN? I WAS GOING TO JUST ASK HEATHER IF SHE WOULD ACCEPT A FRIENDLY AMENDMENT TO YOUR MOTION TO SELECT BRIAN HOLUBEC AS OUR ENDORSEE, FOR THE REGION 13 POSITION ON THE TSB BOARD.

ACCEPTED. DO I NEED TO SAY IT AGAIN? YES. OKAY. SO I MOVE THAT THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ENDORSE BRIAN HOLUBEC FOR THE REGION 13 POSITION ON THE TASB BOARD.

A MOTION AND A SECOND FROM LORA.

ALTHOUGH WE'VE HAD DISCUSSION, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE MOTION SAY AYE.

AYE. ANY OPPOSED? THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

I BELIEVE OH, WE HAVE A CONSENT AGENDA.

[9. CONSENT AGENDA]

DO I HAVE A MOTION? ELLEN. I MOVE, WE APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA AS POSTED.

MOTION BY ELLEN, SECOND BY KIM.

ANY DISCUSSION? OKAY, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR SAY AYE.

AYE. ANY OPPOSED? MOTION CARRIES SEVEN ZERO AND I BELIEVE THAT TAKES US TO THE END OF OUR MEETING BEFORE 8 P.M..

WE HAVE.

PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF UPCOMING MEETINGS FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

[10. UPCOMING MEETINGS]

WE HAVE A REGULAR MEETING ON AUGUST 27TH, AND OUR NEXT STUDY SESSION IS ON SEPTEMBER 10TH AND WITH THAT, THE BOARD STANDS ADJOURNED AT 7:57.
